Caravel – Mediterráneo offers a captivating dining experience which blends North African maritime heritage with contemporary culinary trends. Moving beyond the traditional three-course meal, our menu features a variety of small plates, signature dishes, larger plates, and desserts, allowing guests to create their own dining journey. This approach caters to individual preferences and enhances the communal aspect of dining, aligning with the global trend towards flexible and social dining experiences.
Our culinary philosophy focuses on distilling classic, traditional dishes to their essence, presented with refined simplicity that surprises with depth of flavour and skilled execution. Signature dishes, like salt-baked fish unveiled at the table, add a sense of ritual and theatre, combining authenticity with innovative execution.
Interior Inspiration
The Caravel interior draws inspiration from the rich cultural heritage of North African maritime traditions, featuring intricate details reminiscent of historic caravel ships, combined with contemporary materials and textures to create an authentic yet modern ambiance. The colour palette is neutral, with vibrant accents inspired by traditional textiles, evoking the billowing white lateen sails of the ship and conveying a sense of movement and elegance. Warm elements in wood and brass installations enhance the overall welcoming atmosphere, making the space both inviting and sophisticated.
Tactile fabrics with patterns reminiscent of old seafaring maps and maritime artifacts add a layer of whimsy and historical authenticity, connecting guests to the stories of ancient explorers.
